The end of “One World”:

The Symposium 2027  will examine the ongoing transformation of globalization and the emergence of fragmented, regionalized, and contested world orders. The idea of a single interconnected “One World” is increasingly challenged by geopolitical tensions, conflicts, technological decoupling, supply-chain restructuring, migration pressures, cultural polarization, and new forms of economic and institutional fragmentation. From a systemic perspective, de-globalization is not merely an economic process, but a multidimensional transformation involving feedback loops among markets, states, organizations, communities, technologies, and ecosystems.

The BSLab Symposium aims to explore how these processes reshape business systems, governance models, innovation trajectories, sustainability strategies, social cohesion, and international cooperation.

In particular, the 2027 Symposium welcomes epistemological, theoretical, methodological, technical, and practical contributions that advance the understanding of the systemic consequences of de-globalization.

While focusing on systemic methodology, the Symposium remains open to all scientific approaches, with the aim of fostering constructive debate, interdisciplinary dialogue, and new paths for research and practice.

The Symposium is designed to create a friendly and intellectually stimulating atmosphere among senior scholars, PhD students, researchers, policy makers, business practitioners, and professionals.

The official language of the Business Systems Laboratory International Symposia is English.

The 2027 Symposium will be structured around plenary sessions, thematic tracks, discussion panels, and poster sessions.
 

The Symposium will start on Wednesday January 27 at 13,00 pm and end on Friday January 29 at 18,00 pm.
