Track description

The rapid evolution of digital technologies has profoundly revolutionized the global organizational landscape, influencing not only how organizations operate but also the dynamics of internal and external relationships. The introduction of new technologies has brought forth new opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and growth, yet has also presented unprecedented challenges related to cybersecurity, data management, and digital transformation. This change has not only been palpable on the operational front but has also permeated organizational culture and stakeholder relationships. Organizations have found themselves adopting new business models, redefining market strategies, and reinventing internal processes to remain competitive in an increasingly digital world. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and blockchain have opened new perspectives for optimizing operations, improving customer experience, and creating innovative products and services. However, the implementation and integration of these technologies require careful resource management, a robust cybersecurity strategy, and constant attention to data privacy. Moreover, digital transformation has led to a cultural shift within organizations, requiring greater flexibility, an open mindset to innovation, and an ability to adapt quickly to technological changes. Organizations must address not only technical challenges but also those related to change management and the creation of a digitally oriented corporate culture. In this dynamic and ever-evolving context, it is crucial to promote research and academic debate on the role of technologies in organizations, as well as the opportunities and the threats associated with these technologies.

This track aims to stimulate reflection and knowledge-sharing regarding the crucial role of technologies in the organizational context, examining their implications on decision-making processes, business strategies, corporate culture, and stakeholder relationships.

Through this track, we invite scholars to address a wide range of topics related to technologies in organizations. We are interested in contributions that explore not only the technological aspects themselves but also their interactions with the social, cultural, economic, and ethical dimensions of the organization. Presentations to this track may include empirical research, literature reviews, comparative analyses, case studies, and theoretical contributions.
