Track description

Socio-technical change is becoming increasingly relevant because of the emergence of shorter and shorter waves of innovation that are mainly leveraged by the convergence of emerging technologies. However, this transformation unfolds unevenly across the globe, giving rise to multiple, coexisting techno-scientific "worlds", each developing at its own pace and in its own direction.

This track invites critical reflection and dialogue on the complexities of these shifting landscapes:

- How do different societies experience and shape sociotechnical change?

- What challenges and opportunities emerge from the interplay between innovation, inequality, and sustainability?

- What kinds of futures can we imagine—and build—amid such diversity?

Sustainable future scenarios are highly complex, and it is in this area that this track offers open spaces for discussion in order to generate innovative proposals.

Through open and interdisciplinary discussion, we invite contributions to foster innovative thinking and collaborative proposals toward more inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable futures.
