CHAIR:

Patrizia Gazzola
Professor of Business Administration, University of Insubria, Italy

Track description

Technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) have a not inconsiderable impact on humanity and, consequently, on economic sectors. Technologies can be used to incentivize the adoption of corporate social responsibility practices and thus address environmental, social and governance sustainability problems. Traditional and innovative technologies can lead to an increased focus on social and environmental accountability issues. Not only technological innovation but also innovation in the business model (with the use of digitalization and artificial intelligence, for example) has positive effects on corporate sustainability. While such relationships are investigated in traditional industries, the same cannot be said for high-impact and high-value sectors such as tourism, fashion and food and beverage. The potential of technologies for sustainable development in these areas is considerable and therefore deserves in-depth analysis.

In the context of the previously outlined framework, this track invites submissions of pioneering research focused on high-impact industries such as Tourism, Fashion, and Food & Beverage.

We welcome a broad range of topics for discussion, which may encompass, but are not limited to:

- The Influence of AI on Business Models

- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Practices

- Advances in Information Systems

- Development of Sustainable Business Models

- Strategies for Sustainable Management

This track encourages contributors to explore the intersections of technology, sustainability, and corporate ethics, aiming to shed light on innovative practices that can lead to a more responsible and sustainable future in these crucial sectors.
