TRACK TOPIC DESCRIPTION:

Financial systems provide capital to investors to fund their investment projects. In this context, it is possible to introduce the sustainability concept seen as investments feasibility. The challenges of sustainable development have oriented the financial systems toward a new paradigm which takes into account the social and environmental factors: the sustainable financial systems. In this direction, a new sustainability vision, based on respect for and control of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, is increasingly at the center of corporate and investment decisions. The recent financial crisis has raised many questions about financial strategies, financial tools, and business models. It has become imperative to move towards new practices in financial systems. In this broad and complex scenario, which also includes the social transformations, named by the World Economic Forum the “Great Reset”, the track aims to foster discussion on new findings and approaches associated with the financial systems, considering them in the traditional form as well as in the new sustainability paradigm.
