This track topic
seeks to further
debate and

important
concept of
Sustainable
Development.
Sustainable development has

'development that
meets the needs
of the present

ability of
future
generations to
meet their own
needs'.
Sustainable
Development
foresees the

of today economy
and society to
create a world
where economic
growth no longer
harms the
environment for
the sake of
future
generations.
This track
considers how
various systems
and
complexity-based
approaches can
help us plan for
and realise
sustainable
development.
It welcomes
contributions
from those
working within
the systems
engineering,
system dynamics,
cybernetic, soft
and critical
traditions of
research and
practice.
The scope of the
track therefore
calls for
contributions
from a wide
range of
disciplines with
both an academic
and a practical
perspective.
In particular,
within the
general scopes
of the Symposium
2020 the track
aims to
investigate how
socio-economical
ecosystems can
drive progress
towards a more
just and
sustainable
economy.
